This morning I went out to the garden and cut a few simple flowers. They’re not perfect, and they’re not arranged by a professional. But I love them. I put them in a glass jar with water and left them by the window. Every time I walk past, I can’t help but smile. I’m not sure if it’s the colors, the scent, or the reminder that I can bring beauty into my life without making it complicated. Little gestures like this shift my mood. They remind me I don’t need big things to make my home—and my heart—feel more alive.
